Intellectual Decisions
The positive consequences of relying more on intellect is being able to accomplish more. When one relies on intellect, they make smarter decisions and do more productive things. This sometimes leaves room for fun afterwards. This is good because negative consequences of intellect over emotion are that one could lose time with family or friends. They may not be able to enjoy things like spending time with their cousin or bonding with their brother. That is why when one is productive, if they have time after, they can spend that time with others and enjoy it.

Companionship
Love is a very important thing for humans to experience because humans like to be around people that are like them, and when they find people like them, they get attached to them and want to have them around all the time. Most people seek companionship, and if we do not find companionship, people get lonely because they do not have someone to relate to them or comfort them. When this happens, it is really hard to find anyone.
Love can be debated on the meaning, but I think it is a feeling someone has when they are around the person they are most comfortable with. It is defined as "a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.(dictionary.com)" The monster feels no one likes him, and he wanted to get the approval of humans, but he realizes no human will ever accept him. Once he realizes this, he knows the only thing that will ever take him is someone just as ugly as him, so he persuades Frankenstein to make a female version of him, so he can be happy.
Love can have a strong affect on people. When people get attached to something, they cannot be without it. Frankenstein has never known love, but wants a companion to be in love with. He learned this feeling when he was observing the cottagers, and saw it in Felix and Safie. He realizes this is what he needs to be happy, and that is when he tries to confront the old, blind man. When he is rejected, though, he sees he can only have someone as ugly as him that will accept him because he is as ugly as her, and he will accept her because no one else will.

Since this is based on true events, I see that his emotional response is usually depression and irritation. In most people nowadays, I would expect the emotional response to be anger. They would talk back, ask "Why not?!," and throw a fit. If this were not based on true events, I would expect the same response my brother actually does give, because he is reserved and respectful. He knows not to speak out against my parents, and does not entirely show he is bothered by not being able to do whatever he is asking for.
